Bromley Child Integrated Partnership Team

Delivered via the 8 Bromley PCNs, the Bromley Child Health Integrated Partnership Team (BCHIP) service is an innovative approach to bringing together healthcare experts from a multitude of different Bromley services to enable families to better understand and manage their child’s wellbeing. Children and families can access the services they need closer to home, and a result, fewer children attend hospital outpatient clinics and are instead seen more quickly by the right clinician or service for their needs.

GPs refer children and young people into BCHIP’s community clinics, where a dedicated team of GPs, nurses, and paediatricians meets weekly to work out the best care for each child, providing families with advice, guidance, and referrals as needed. This means fewer hospital visits for children who are instead seen by paediatricians in community clinics and reduced wait times for children needing specialist paediatric input – seen at least 20 weeks sooner than if GPs referred to the hospital setting.
